This guide outlines two methods for emailing receipts or scale tickets in the ScrapIT software:

Note:

Your user profile MUST have an email address attached to it, in order to email out receipts or scale tickets.

Option 1: Automatic Emailing for New Receipts and Scale Tickets

Receipts can be set to email automatically when they are created for a specific supplier. Note that this method applies only to newly created receipts and scale tickets after the setup, not existing ones.

Steps to Set Up Automatic Emails:
  1. Log in to the GUI.
  2. Navigate to:
    • Master Files → Master File Input → Scrap Supplier Input
  3. Search for the supplier:
    • Click the magnifying glass icon.
    • Enter the supplier's name.
  4. Enter the supplier's email address in the Email Address field.
  5. Go to Page 2 (bottom right corner).
  6. Configure email preferences:
    • Select the radio button for either:
      • Email ST (scale ticket)
      • Email Receipt
    • Choose one of the following:
      • Yes – Emails without printing.
      • Both – Prints and emails simultaneously.
      • No (default) – Prints only, no email.
  7. Return to Page 1 and click Save (top-right corner).

Option 2: Manually Emailing an Existing Receipt or Scale Ticket

You can manually email receipts or scale tickets directly from the software.

Steps to Manually Email:
  1. Log in to the GUI.
  2. Navigate to:
    • Processing → Inquiries → Scale Ticket Inquiry or Receipt Inquiry
  3. Find the ticket or receipt:
    • Use the by date inquiry option if you don’t know the number. Enter the creation date of the ticket/receipt.
  4. Open the desired ticket or receipt:
    • Click the small icon on the far-right side of the list.
  5. Click the Print button.
  6. From the print options, select Email (at the top of the list).
  7. Choose email settings:
    • Enter the customer's email address.
    • Confirm other options as needed.
  8. Click Submit to send the email.

Your receipt or scale ticket will now be emailed to the recipient.
